Before you can play any of your favourite sports, you’ve probably encountered a time when you had to get a health screening in Singapore. In case you don’t know what that is, it’s a check-up in which people test whether you are physically fit enough to participate in an activity.

Don’t take it as an exam. It’s simply a measure of safety to protect you from injuring yourself during the activity. However, that doesn’t mean you should go into your health screening promotion without preparation. Going into your check-up while you’re in your best state of health can give you a more accurate view of your physical fitness.

Need to prepare for a health screening? Here are a few things you need to do

    1. Avoid eating or drinking before the check-up.

Food can affect things like your blood sugar levels and other things during the screening. You’d want to fast for at least 8 to 10 hours, but hydrate yourself with water occasionally. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours

     2. Get a decent amount of sleep a day before the screening.

A health screening in Singapore tests your blood pressure, heartbeat, and more. Sleep can also affect the results, much like food and drink does.

     3. Bring all relevant medical information to your screening.

If you have a chronic illness or a severe allergy, you might want to bring the necessary doctor or medical papers with you. This can help your doctor fill out your report

     4. Talk to the specialist about anything you need to do before your screening.

Certain tests may have restrictions and preparation rules.
